Carol Jonas, a psychologist and author of children’s books created the Pawsitive Tails book series to highlight the significant relationship between children and their pets. The series features three cherished family pets: Marlow, Tito and Magic.

Through Marlow's experience with ADD and Tito’s battle with depression, the books aim to encourage open conversations between children, parents, teachers and therapists.

Drawing from her personal journey of raising children affected by dyslexia, ADD, anxiety, and depression, Carol advocates for honest dialogue and self-advocacy.  She believes that early therapeutic intervention can help children navigate their unique challenges and lay a solid foundation for the future.

I absolutely love this book! It shows kids how approachable and helpful therapy can be, focusing on the struggle of depression. The rhyming and adorable characters make it super easy for kids to follow along or read on their own. It’s an excellent resource for parents and professionals. I can’t wait for more mental health topics to be covered with these pups!

I am honored to have been one of Carol's beta readers of her books and was gifted a copy of this book for my daughter who is an avid reader. I am so grateful that this author is broaching mental health topics in accessible ways with bright colored images and rhyming that makes it that much more approachable to children and their families.
